CHAINSMOKERS’S ALEX PALL ON MUSIC AND STYLE

September 17, 2018 • MichaelPollackWins

The Chainsmokers is a band made of the duo Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart. They have been making trends since they joined the field of music. Mostly focused on making electric music, the group has gone out of their way to make their fans even happier by featuring their voice contributions in their songs. “Closer”, one of their singles is one of such instances. The music was a collaboration between the duo and Halsey. Andrew Taggart was the one who lent his voice to the track. Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart are very goal-oriented, their goal being making a name for themselves, not only in the dance music genre, but also being artists themselves.

Alex and Taggart have both embraced their love for music and style. Away from music, the style of the two trickles down to their abodes. Peti Lau can attest to this. Being the decorator of the houses that the two bought for themselves, she can say without a doubt that they have style. For instance, Alex Pall’s house, one built in the 1930s includes slate floors and open fireplaces, classic bungalow features. Towards the outside, the house has a tree growing in the entryway. These and numerous other features sum up the feel that Alex Pall was looking for, a midcentury feel. Peti Lau’s AristoFreak has employed into making the home more streamlined with Pall’s taste. The result is a breathtaking site that anyone would love living in.

Alex Pall started off as a DJ in New York. It started as a hobby and slowly grew to be a career infused with passion. He quit a job he had to follow his dream more seriously after being introduced to Andrew Taggart. The chemistry between the two was vivid enough for it to be presumed to be something worthwhile. It was. Each of them had something to bring to the table, Andrew being a producer and Pall being a marketer. This dream slowly started weaving together and surpassed the anticipated threshold that anyone thought they would. They started collaborating with other artists, writing the songs with them and producing the music.

Alex Pall believes that he, together with Andrew Taggart, will continue to impact a lot of people as they have since they started and they are not planning on stopping anytime soon.

The Ominous Side of The Chainsmokers

April 2, 2018 • MichaelPollackWins

If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting a while for the next release of The Chainsmokers. Wait no longer! After a long nine month interval the EDM/ POP duo has finally come back with a new ominous and dark tone in the new hit single “Sick Boy,” a fascinating turn around from the upbeat and romantic nature of their earlier tracks. This sensational band has started to evolve their sound to how they are perceiving themselves and society as a whole.

The chart breaking doupoly known as the Chainsmokers consist of two Goliath music producers named Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. The dynamic duo met while working and attending school in the New York area. From there the pair started working on remixes of indie bands for a brief period of time. Shortly after, The Chainsmokers broke their first Billboard Hot 100 list with the single “Roses”. What comes next is an onslaught of hit after hit releases such as, “Don’t Let Me Down”, “Paris”, “Closer”, and their second most recent hit featuring Cold Play “Something Just Like This”. With such a staggering portfolio already at hand, the Chainsmokers had a large set of shoes to fill with their next release; they accomplished this task with the new hit single “Sick Boy”

Already this new release of The Chainsmoker’s “Sick Boy”, is breaking charts not only in the U.S but in other countries around the world. This enchanting melody explores the constant exposure that all of us now live with in the world of social media. Its critical thoughts portray the narcissistic nature that social media inflicts upon society, while showing that this narcissism isn’t directly a bad feature. If used correctly, it can help show all of us what exactly defines each of us as individuals. This will render us more capable to make positive changes about ourselves. The Chainsmoker’s new song leaves me satiated musically and intellectually, while leaving me anxious for more.
