Recently, Bumble became the latest American organization to take a stance against gun violence. It banned the use of gun images across all its platforms. It was a statement that was made unequivocally claiming that gun violence is nowhere in line with the values of the firm. The platform’s statement implied making guns un-sexy since many gun owners think buying guns are sexy. Weapons are still used to show masculinity in the society, and that is what Bumble is trying to stop. However, some Bumble users are allowed to use gun images as long as they are military or law enforcement personnel. They should be wearing their uniform though. The platform is more active in cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles as compared to other places. The towns are infamous for gun violence.

Banning guns from the platform may prove to be hard in any dating app. This is because most users use guns as part of their dating identity. Some of the weapons that will be banned from the platform are knives and arms as well. Whitney Wolfe said that there is hope for gun lovers since the app; Shooter is a few weeks from completion.

Bumble has announced a jersey sponsorship deal with L.A Clippers. The deal was based on the fight for gender equality for both companies. The leaders of both organizations; Whitney Wolfe and Gillan Zucker emphasize gender equality and diversity in the companies since this leads to success. Bumble will be able to help women in all types of spaces by using its technology. Whitney Wolfe said that Bumble is honored to work with the Clippers since they are ambassadors for gender equality and diversity.
